Speech Data Collection for crowdsourcing AI company and Fortune 500 client

About the Project: The company had a series of established clients seeking speech data for AI training and research. After trusting suppliers, the company found a need for in-house collection to mitigate under-delivery risks.

Timeline of Events

  1. Conception & Initiation
    • Conduct needs assessment and project minimum data files for delivery
    • Document the feasibility of running the operation out of the current location, and analyze the technical, financial and operational requirements
    • Meet with company stakeholders to align on objectives, budget, and expected outcome
  2. Definition & Planning
    • Secure and set-up the proper technology, work-for-hire commitments, and marketing needs
    • Prepare all materials for booking including study and eligibility details
    • Scope project risks and assumptions and constraints of talent procurement
    • Prepare all legal documentation for seamless delivery to high-risk clients
  3. Launch or Execution
    • Recruit voice talent based on user persona creation (scenario, goal, acceptance criteria)
    • Set schedule for sound engineers, editing and delivery
    • Safe and ethical storing of all metadata
  4. Performance & Control
    • Monitor performance of the data collection process, including adjusting recruitment for accurate data samples
    • Update stakeholders on daily reports, including file delivery and financial management
    • Establish KPIs for contracted sound engineers to complete high-quality recordings and edits in a timely manner

Pre-seed Investment Round, B2B SaaS Company

About the Project: The startup had an in-depth feasibility phase, and needed to grow into the investment stage. This required preparation for due diligence and criteria for venture capital and angel funding.

Timeline of Events

    • Research essential data to provide a detailed market analysis and segmentation, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, and pro formas
    • Create a comprehensive business plan
    • Identify potential funding sources

Film Festival’s addition of a virtual model

About the Project: A small, nonprofit film festival that had a successful, annual “brick and mortar” event was seeking to add a virtual component. Only, their website could not do so.

Timeline of Events

  1. Conception & Initiation
    • Meet with the client for vision-planning and current media partners
    • Perform technical audit to understand what framework needed to be built
    • Create user profiles for potential online participants and understand revenue targets to sustain project budget scope
  2. Definition & Planning
    • Develop ticketing tier system for various events, including short and feature films, seminars, workshops and more
    • Create all marketing materials
    • Scope project risks and assumptions for technical issues, unfulfilled target metrics, and security concerns and streaming rights
  3. Launch or Execution

(Different) Film Festival’s Inaugural Screenwriting Competition

About the Project: The company ran 4 successful film festivals in the past but had taken a significant gap. It sought to run a fully virtual live competition consisting of 3 rounds of judging and a grand finale event.

Timeline of Events

  1. Conception & Initiation
    • Huddle with marketing and creative department
    • Gather the list of eligible and approved contestants
  2. Planning phase
    • Create all communication materials (emails, to-do lists for talent to participate in the virtual broadcast, stakeholder email campaigns)
